Forge Your Legacy

With the release of three products occurring simultaneously, the Corsair development team requested a full launch that could seamlessly encompass all three of these products into a singular campaign. Thus, “Forge Your Legacy” was born.

When I first developed this campaign title, it was in response to the note that these products would be presented as a sort of ‘starter kit’ for PC gamers - these are the introductory products you could purchase from the Corsair line to begin your entire journey within the realm of PC gaming. Just as every game has a starting quest, this campaign would represent that same feel. Every hero has to begin somewhere.

The First Pass.

These initial concepts held an interesting view - taking the essence of various video games such as MMO terrains and loadout screens - however, they also strayed a little too far from the Corsair brand as a whole. We had to dial it back, while maintaining the overall feel that these products symbolized something powerful and important.

The Second Pass.

Round two provided more conceptualizing and the chance to hone-in on a single direction. Did we want to keep this essence of passion through sparks and flames? How could we minimize the effects so we wouldn’t distract too much from the product itself? These were the problems to solve when entering the third and final round.

The Finals.

By integrating the text with the product, we could allow the product to remain the hero of the graphic while still guiding the consumer’s eyes towards a call-to-action. The effects were cut down to the bones, giving just enough flare to add something more, while not taking attention away from the product itself.

UI / UX

With the look and feel of the campaign established, it was time to move onto the web development phase. This required taking our visuals into Figma and establishing a hierarchy of information that the consumer could navigate through while purchasing these products. What is a PC-gamer most interested in when looking for new equipment for their setup? How do we visually communicate these specifications as clearly as possible?

With all problems solved and all tasks completed, we were ready for launch.
The final product of this campaign can now be seen across Corsair’s website.
